Variable Frequency Drive Sourcing

Variable Frequency Drive Sourcing coordinates factory quotations for variable frequency drive programs. We are not the manufacturer, not a warehouse holding finished inverters, and not a brand-appointed reseller. Buyer, coordinator and supplier keep distinct responsibilities so RFQ files stay comparable.

This page explains supplier responsibilities during specification review: design input they must answer, evidence they must attach, and open deviations they must name. Company founding years, plant capacity and client counts are omitted because this service has no verified factory heritage to publish. Public manufacturer pages, such as Danfoss’s FC 102 voltage and enclosure tables, are technical references only and do not imply affiliation.

Supplier responsibilities

Independent sourcing partner: we match a written motor and load schedule to factories willing to quote the same inclusions. Certificates, UL or CE files and FAT protocols remain supplier documents requested for a named product, not credentials of this website.

Supplier responsibilities: Design input

Factories receive motor current, supply voltage and phase, load type, ambient in °C, enclosure target, three-phase supply at the cabinet, footprint and PLC interface owner. They do not invent missing cable lengths. If the buyer cannot yet freeze sensor-loss behavior, the supplier should quote options rather than a silent default.

Supplier answer

The written answer lists continuous and overload current, derating at the named ambient, remaining I/O, and which system authorizes restart. Connected load, cooling if any, compressed air only if a panel cooler is quoted, and software license duration sit beside the drive price. Spare parts lists name fans and capacitors, not a vague kit.

Open deviation

Deviations include inability to use the intended motor, panel installation excluded, filtering billed as a later project, or SAT limited to an empty demonstration. We record those gaps. We do not convert them into a claimed discount versus an unpublished market.

Limitation transparency for this service: we cannot guarantee a certification will cover an entire line; we cannot convert a brochure kilowatt into pump or fan throughput; we cannot confirm classified-area or outdoor duty without the supplier’s written boundary. Duty cycle and work envelope still belong in every comparable file. Single machine versus an integrated HVAC or pump skid remains an industry dispute: staffing, guarding and SAT boundaries change when a panel is added. Nominal speed versus validated output is the second dispute—ask for test conditions on buyer motors. Machine price versus installed project cost is the third: separate filters, shipping, utilities, installation and spare parts.

Keep base drive and site work on separate quote lines
